Terms and Conditions

Steeple Audio - last updated: 10 August 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern use of the Steeple Audio service at steepleaudio.com, operated by SetMaster Pro, a sole trader business. By submitting an episode or subscribing, your organisation agrees to be bound by these Terms. This service is offered business-to-business, for use by churches, ministries, podcast producers, and similar organisations - it is not a consumer service, and references to "you" below mean the organisation on whose behalf you are acting.

1. The service

1.1 What is included

  • -Automated audio mastering on the Podcast/Spoken profile, tuned for sermon and voice-led content
  • -One free mastered episode per organisation, at SetMaster Pro's discretion, with no account or payment required
  • -On the paid subscription: up to 4 episodes per month, each up to 3 hours, delivered as a download link

1.2 What is not included

  • -Human review or manual editing of your audio
  • -Fixes for problems introduced at the point of recording - handheld mic handling, room echo, wind noise, or clipping from a level set too high cannot be corrected by mastering, and we will tell you plainly if that is what we hear
  • -Publishing or distribution to YouTube, podcast platforms, or anywhere else - you receive the mastered file and publish it yourself
  • -Guarantee of any specific listener or platform outcome

2. Eligibility

The person submitting audio or subscribing must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act on behalf of the organisation. This service is intended for organisational use, not for individual consumers.

3. The free episode

SetMaster Pro may offer one mastered episode free of charge per organisation, at its discretion. No payment card is required and no account is created. The free episode does not create a subscription or any obligation to continue, and SetMaster Pro may decline or limit free episodes to prevent abuse.

4. Subscription, pricing and billing

4.1 Plan

£89/month for up to 4 mastered episodes per month, each up to 3 hours in length. Additional episodes or longer running times may be arranged at SetMaster Pro's discretion, priced separately.

4.2 Billing and currency

Prices are shown in GBP and processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card details. If your organisation is billed outside the UK, your bank may apply its own currency conversion charges.

4.3 Taxes

Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. SetMaster Pro is a UK sole trader below the VAT registration threshold and does not charge VAT. Depending on your location, Stripe may calculate and add local sales tax at checkout.

4.4 Renewal and cancellation

The subscription renews monthly until cancelled. You may cancel at any time by emailing john@steepleaudio.com; access continues until the end of the current billing period, and no refund is given for the unused portion.

5. Refunds

Because processing consumes computing resources immediately on submission, we do not refund an episode once it has been processed. As this is a business-to-business contract, the consumer cancellation rights that apply to individual purchases (for example under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) do not apply here. If mandatory local law nonetheless grants your organisation rights that cannot be excluded, those rights are not affected - contact john@steepleaudio.com to discuss.

6. Your content and copyright

You retain ownership of all audio you submit. By submitting it, you grant SetMaster Pro a limited licence to process, store, and return the file solely to provide the service. You represent and warrant that your organisation holds the necessary rights or licences for everything in the recording - including any music, hymns, or third-party content played during the service - and you agree to indemnify SetMaster Pro against claims arising from content you submit. SetMaster Pro is not responsible for verifying the rights status of your content and accepts no liability for copyright issues arising from it.

7. Prohibited use

  • -Submitting content that infringes intellectual property rights or that you do not have the rights to submit
  • -Submitting unlawful, defamatory, or obscene material
  • -Attempting to circumvent episode or length limits
  • -Reselling or sublicensing access without written consent
  • -Any use that violates applicable law

8. File storage and retention

Submitted audio is processed on the same cloud infrastructure SetMaster Pro uses for its core mastering product (Railway Object Storage, EU). Mastered files are available for download for 24 hours after processing completes, after which they are permanently deleted. You are responsible for downloading within that window; we accept no liability for files deleted after expiry.

9. Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service is provided "as is". Processing times are estimates, and results depend on the quality of the source recording.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SetMaster Pro is not liable for loss of profits, loss of data beyond the agreed storage period, or any indirect or consequential loss. Total liability is capped at the amount your organisation paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. As a business-to-business contract, this limitation is intended to operate to the fullest extent the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 permits between commercial parties.

11. Termination

You may cancel at any time by emailing john@steepleaudio.com. SetMaster Pro may suspend or terminate access immediately for breach of these Terms, including submission of content in breach of Section 6 or 7.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Where mandatory local law grants your organisation rights that cannot be contractually excluded, those rights are unaffected. Please raise disputes with us first at john@steepleaudio.com.
